<p>For the first time in my life, I have the start of a six-pack. My the top part of my stomach is flatter than it was when I was born. I never thought that I could change my body enough to really look fit, I just always assumed that I was destined to be the funny fat girl, but now I know that it is possible to change my destiny. I feel great today.</p>

<p>Today is the first day of a new diet plan to jump start my weightloss again. No more fruit at all and no more carbs after two. We will see how it goes, but I am sure going to miss my sweet potatoes at dinner. I did legs today, and for the first time I looked in the mirror and saw definition in my quads, now it is just a matter of getting the rest of my legs caught up with my calves.  I am trying really hard to just maintain my calves without building any more. It’s really hard though, because my calves are my most defined muscle and I really like to show them off.</p>

<p>I had my first posing lesson today, it went not so great. I have a lot to learn, but thanks to Lorrie I think that I will be ablet to look like I can least fit in come competition day. The hardest part is definitely remember to keep the gut in and the shoulders back. Over the next week I am going to attempt to maintain the best posture possible at all times.</p>

<p>Weekends are the toughest time for me to stay motivated. Unlike most people. these are my busy days at work, and my gym closes early on both days, so if I even make it there before it closes, I usually am forced to rush my work-outs, so I always wake up on Monday feeling like a lazy sonoffabitch with little in the way of self-esteem.  I haven&#8217;t made it to the gym yet today, and I am really anxious to get a good, long, hard work-out. </p>

<p>My relationship with the scale is an unhealthy one to say the least. I have to quit relying on it as my sense of well-being. My whole day should not depend on the number that appears on a digital readout. Over the next month, I am going to try to only weigh on Sundays, and even if I haven’t lost a ton of weight, I will not let that effect me. I will push through and keep working hard.</p>

<p>Today was leg day, which is by far my biggest hurdle. My upper-body is always so much leaner than my lower, and every time I look in the mirror at the gym all I see is the jiggle of my thighs which is why it is the one workout day that I never let myself miss. I know that the only way that I will see results is if I get under the squat machine, however, because it is my weakest point, it is really hard for me not to get discouraged.  With my biceps, I can see big gains in two weeks, but with my quads it seems to take two months to even see a noticeable change. Today&#8217;s workout was a killer, to change things up I decided to lift my husband which means lifting heavy with only 5-7 reps per set. Hopefully changing it up will be enough to push me over this plateau.  </p>

		<title>Time for a change of pace</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Right now I am in the middle of preparation for my first ever fitness competition on May 1, and I have decided to change the feel of my blog for a while. (don&#8217;t worry my snarkiness will shine through no matter what I do). Instead, I hope to focus my blog more on how my body changes over the next 11 weeks, and use this as kind of a motivational tool here is my first post:</p>
<p>Motivation: 7<br />
Progress: 8<br />
Diet: 10<br />
Work-out: 10</p>
<p>Tuesdays are the easy day for me to come home from the gym feeling like I actually did something because I work out with my trainer on that day. The trick for me is to be able to replicate that progress when I am on own. Its really easy to check your form when someone is watching you, but its really hard when you have to watch yourself. My goal for the next couple days is to improve my form on every exercise I do and keep the intensity that I have with my trainer, Lorrie, even when she isn&#8217;t there.</p>

Not one to argue I agreed to let him try it out. When I questioned him why this food was better, Adam simply said look at the bag. The person behind branding and marketing over at taste of wild is a genius, because sadly, many people by food simply based on things like how the bag looks.
